We humans just love to give our brains a figurative shaking up. It’s almost as if when everything is fine, our brain yells, “Hey, give me something to do, I’m bored to tears up here!”
So we worry.
Do we really not enjoy having peace of mind? I know I don’t like to worry or be anxious, but I do it often.
I could go on and on about our worrying habits and how unhealthy and silly they are, but instead of rambling on about it, I’ll just share a blog I read today that really blessed me and helped me realize the utter distraction and joy-stealer that worry can be. It does us no good, but we love it. Because we like control.

After reading this, I just said “wow.”
Just digest it, and really pray to God, and let Him take care of the rest. I like control and knowing what’s to come. But I need to stop. Because there’s nothing I can do about it. Only God can.
Lord, please give my spirit rest. I trust You.
I will say no more.
